The curving style of the Tecomaria capensis flower exceeds the four stamens in length, all protruding far beyond the curved tube of the trumpet-shaped corolla mouth. The anthers are purplish brown and two-lobed, the lobes facing back from the filament tip. The purplish stigma is small.

Dark vein lines emerge from the inside of the flower mouth on the corolla surface, not reaching the margin. The inside of the corolla is paler on the flower in picture than the outside of its tube (http://pza.sanbi.org).
