Lebeckia pauciflora flowers are displayed in long, erect or curving racemes above the leaves. The short-stalked flowers are spaced upon a sturdy central stem well capable of coping with unregulated pollinator landings, enticed by the bright yellow, best in bright sunlight.

Although the (Latin) specific name, pauciflora, says the species has few flowers, a thriving plant shows no shortage. The name is probably referring to relative floral abundance when other lebeckias are taken into account (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
