Peperomia blanda is an evergreen succulent herb that spreads from the base. It reaches heights of 60 cm. The many erect stems are succulent and brittle. They are green or pink in colour. The leaves and stems are slightly hairy. Leaves grow opposite each other, sometimes whorled on the stems. The leaf texture is slightly succulent; the colour yellow-green and shiny, the midrib is prominent. Leaf shape is obovate with entire margins that show occasional slight lobe-like irregularities. The leaf tips taper or are rounded.

The flowers are minute, borne on long, thin, erect, greenish-yellow spikes in the upper axils. The fruits are small brown, sticky drupes (Smith, et al, 1997; www.kumbulanursery.co.za).
