Larryleachia marlothii flower

The corolla of a Larryleachia marlothii flower has a shallow, five-pointed star-shape. The shallow bowl or saucer-like, central base of the corolla is 1 mm to 3 mm deep.

The triangular corolla lobes ascend and attenuate to their out-curving, acutely pointed tips. The corolla margin is not thickened or only slightly so and not ciliate (no hairy fringes).

The outer corona is divided into five pairs of thread-like segments, spreading and curving towards each other in a ring in the base of the corolla. The five inner corona lobes are about linear in shape, curving in over the anthers to join in the centre; their tips curving out again.
