Tabernaemontana elegans flowers grow in heads from stem-tips or upper leaf axils. Large bracts are initially present among the flowers but fall early. The flowers may be faintly sweet-scented.

The trumpet-shaped flowers are white to greenish cream with narrow, green corolla tubes and five narrow, corolla lobes that spiral anticlockwise or twist to the left. Flower diameter is about 2,5 cm, the corolla tubes up to 7 mm long.

The flowering season starts before midspring and may last through autumn, sometimes only summer (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; iNaturalist; www.plantzafrica.com).
