The leaves of Calpurnia intrusa are imparipinnate, comprising up to twelve pairs of hairy, short-stalked leaflets. There are leaf stipules at the petioles of young leaves that drop off early.
The oblong to elliptic leaflets have rounded bases and tips with hairy protrusions or mucros at their tips. The soft, green leaflet blades fold in along their midribs.
In picture some oblong, flat and hairy, yellow green fruit pods are visible, curved with styles protruding from their tips (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Coates Palgrave, 2002; iNaturalist).
