Xylotheca tettensis revelations by sunlight

Against sunlight the Xylotheca tettensis leaves show midribs, curving lateral veins as well as faint net-veining on the infolding blades. The leaf margins are entire but may be slightly wavy, their stalks sturdy and short. The leaves of these deciduous shrubs appear just before the flowers, when temperatures rise at the end of winter.
