    The unusually long leaves of this Nymania capensis shrub ascend short-stalked (as usual), close to the stems. Plants from the Little Karoo and Gariep River sometimes show differences.

    The erect growth habit is present. The colouring of the young fruit is here somewhat pale.

    Apart from being a palatable fodder tree, various medicinal uses of plant parts have become traditional, also in Namibia (Mannheimer and Curtis, (Ed.), 2009; Coates Palgrave, 2002).
