Flowering of Olea capensis subsp. capensis can be a memorable occasion. These many-flowered, dense inflorescences are more terminal than axillary, i.e. growing much-branched mainly at stem-tips and becoming up to 8 cm long.
The blooming happens from time to time throughout the year (Venter, 2011; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997).
