Pentameris eriostoma inflorescences

The flowers of Pentameris eriostoma grow in open panicles of about 20 cm long. The straw- and cream-coloured spikelets on thin pedicels are about 120 mm long. Each spikelet contains two bisexual florets. The five lemmas or lower, chaff-like bracts around each floret end in awns.
