Psychologist questions about what clients see in all kinds of pictures don’t reflect on therapist eyesight. Not like when a child explains a view to a blind grandparent in order for them to share.

The question is aimed at gaining insight into perceptions regarding the client’s state of mind, its functioning and where assistance might be required. For what we register among all that’s out there and how we make sense of it, affect our coping, wellbeing and achievement.

Thus, we do not only see what we see, we also see what we are. State of mind, readiness for current and expected challenges and how we fit into society come into play.

Steadying a person after trauma or crisis may require consolidation before the next phase of fast forward in confident, independent living. That is, as independent as we ever are, for social beings need each other, more at certain times.

We also need nature. The rock and its many mates themselves, with plants, animals, birds and veld atmosphere added out there, serve directly in a therapeutic sense, soothing the spirit in whatever state it arrives. And whatever stories might be told about this rock.
