The white flowering Crassula alba var. alba in Mpumalanga grassland is unusual for the South African southern extreme of the distribution of this plant; whatever the name alba might imply! The usual form of this flower is red in our part of the world. The dominant presence in flower volume seen here of a rare form of this plant (common in North Africa), is quite remarkable.
