Adenandra uniflora is an aromatic, ericoid shrublet confined to a small distribution area in the south-western extreme of the fynbos. This picture was taken in September in the Kogelberg. The leaves are oblong to lanceolate with margins rolled under.
The flowers are solitary, white or pink and growing at stem tips. There are stalked glands on the stamens. The style is shorter than the petals.
The genus forms part of the Rutaceae family. Adenandra flowers are often referred to as china flowers, porseleinblomme in Afrikaans (Manning, 2009).
