Many slender, erect stems, branched more at the base than higher up, have been produced by this Edmondia sesamoides shrublet. Between the green of the leaves that adhere to the stems fairly consistently, the white woolly stem surfaces are visible.

The leaves are long and narrow, needle-like. Not much spreading of lower leaves is to be seen on this plant in December at Botrivier (Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005).
