Hermas villosa, commonly known as tinderleaf, is a single or multi-stemmed shrub of the Apiaceae or carrot family. It grows to 1 m, most of the height coming from the flower stems. The plant exudes a carrot scent.
The species distribution lies in the far southwestern Cape fynbos on sandstone slopes of varying altitude (Bean and Johns, 2005; Manning, 2007; iSpot).
