When not in flower, the young Gibbaeum heathii plant invests in the leaves that respond to rain and live up to the baby bums sobriquet. Their shapes vary, as do baby bodies, the symmetry up and down lacking strangely, in baby bodies not strange.
People just might understand human bodies a little better than plant bodies (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
