Gladiolus flanaganii inflorescence

The inflorescence of Gladiolus flanaganii consists of a spike that may be curved, bent or undulating as here. There are usually four to seven flowers per spike.

The firm bracts are green and sometimes dull purple in small parts. The outer bract has a light fold down its middle. It is 6 cm to 7 cm long. The inner bract is two-keeled and about two thirds as long with a notch at its tip (Goldblatt and Manning, 1998; iNaturalist).
