In this fairly old Geranium drakensbergensis flower the stamens have more or less disappeared. The white area in the flower centre has expanded, while the old petal upper parts vary in shape or are damaged.
The pink-purple style is by now well-developed, dominating the scene. Its five red-purple branches spread and recurve, ready for or already satisfied with pollen flown in by insect aviators or other lucky coincidences involving visitors (iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
