Geranium robustum, commonly the robust geranium and scientifically previously Geranium incanum var. pottiae, is a vigorous shrublet or subshrub reaching 1 m in height. It may form dense stands in habitat. The plant grows several stems from the base, bare and woody low down and covered in silvery hairs higher up.

The species distribution is in the east of South Africa, from the Eastern Cape through the Free State and KwaZulu-Natal to Mpumalanga, as well as in some neighbouring countries. The photo was taken near the Sani Pass.

The habitat is moist, montane scrubveld and near streams at elevations from 1600 m to 2590 m. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
