Aloe petricola dark filaments, pale style

The perianth segment tips of the Aloe petricola inflorescence are curved up slightly, from before opening. The upper segments keep that shape once the almost black filaments are pushed beyond their tips. The open perianth segments are green-lined, the lining accentuated as they dry in the older flowers below.

The anthers are orange, short oblongs, the whitish style exserted further than the stamens. Ants seem to be the active pollinators of the moment (Frandsen, 2017; Van Wyk and Smith, 2003; Reynolds, 1974; Jeppe, 1969; iNaturalist).
