Streptocarpus cyaneus subsp. cyaneus in its Mpumalanga habitat

Often found ensconced among mossy rocks in habitat, Streptocarpus cyaneus subsp. cyaneus does well in moist, though well-drained places. The plants sometimes grow on tree trunks, presumably dead ones in the forest floor detritus, otherwise a category of dendrophytic plants could be mooted.
