Close-up the stamens of the Syringodea bifucata flower in picture bend back, yellow anthers dangling from yellow filaments. The three stamens arise from the base of the flower mouth, where it begins to widen.
The style is shorter here, three longish and thin branches curving out below the anthers, appearing to be candidates for self-pollination if ripening of the two gender components coincided (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
