The inner tepals of the Brunsvigia orientalis flower in picture are narrower and more channelled than the outer ones. The curving back occurs more in the upper tepal part than lower down. Tepal length is given as from 50 mm to 65 mm, the width from 8 mm to 9 mm.
The six shortly exserted stamens are erect and about together. The filaments are red, about 55 mm long. The oblong, blackish maroon anthers are lobed, up to 8 mm long but shrinking after anthesis (flower opening). The cream-coloured pollen is not visible here.
The also red style is slightly longer than the stamens, its stigma tiny but still three-branched. The styles of these flowers are sometimes white and well taller than the stamens (Duncan, et al, 2016; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
