Lobelia linearis can appear broom-like as this one on the Minwater farm near Oudtshoorn. The stems branch much, already from the woody base, remaining thin and wiry. The leaves are inconspicuous, sometimes fewer of them present when the plant flowers.
The small blue flowers are scattered near the stem-tips in sparse racemes (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
