Mesembryanthemum noctiflorum flowers grow stalked in small clusters or solitary from stem-tips. The calyx is partly cylindrical, ending in four round-tipped, fleshy sepals, one opposite pair longer than the other.
The thin, long petals are not very straight in picture. They grow in a few whorls, coloured white and tinged pink on their lower surfaces, often suffused in shades of pink, salmon, red, coppery or yellow.
Nectar glands are grooved in the flower bases (Van Rooyen and Van Rooyen, 2019; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
