Oncosiphon sabulosus, commonly known as sandy daisy, in Afrikaans as stinkkruid (stink herb) and scientifically previously Pentzia sabulosa, is a short-lived woody perennial that reaches 20 cm in height, nearly prostrate in the open.
The species distribution is coastal in the west of the Western Cape and the south of the Northern Cape, from southern Namaqualand to around the De Hoop Nature Reserve. The photo was taken near Sandbaai.
The habitat is dunes, strandveld, beach vegetation and sandy coastal fynbos. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Kolokoto, R and AR Magee (2018): Cape stinkweeds: Taxonomy of Oncosiphon.
