The slender Aloe speciosa leaves, decidedly convex on the lower surfaces and less convincingly concave on the upper ones have unimposing teeth along the margins only. The pale, inconspicuous teeth are not very evenly spaced, although present on all margin parts. Many of the blue-green blades have upturned tips in picture. The characteristic leaf rosette tilt is present as should be expected, not the slaphoringaalwyn for nothing!
Only the smallest buds at the raceme tip have pinkish red colouring. The bigger buds nearing readiness for opening are near white with green line markings. The pink inflorescence tip is cone-shaped, most of the lower white part is cylindrical, the buds fairly evenly and densely distributed (Frandsen, 2017; Van Wyk and Smith, 2003; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Jeppe, 1969; iNaturalist).
