    Flowering next to Sir Lowry’s Pass in October, these Ixia dubia plants hold their inflorescences erectly at the ready for the benefit of pollinators, and thereby also in self-interest. The floral bracts are pinkish translucent (Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; Bean and Burman, 1985; iNaturalist).
