The Moraea ochroleuca bisexual flower has male and female parts elevated together over the base of the cup. The stamens have united filaments. The style crests are inconspicuous, much smaller than in many other Moraea species.

The inner and outer whorls of oblong, round-tipped tepals are similar, but here causing a confusion of a doubled numbers and whorls, rendering the flower spectacular (Marais, (Ed.), 2017; Manning, 2007; Bean and Johns, 2005; iNaturalist; https://www.fernkloof.org.za).
