    Muraltia thunbergii leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The stalkless leaves of Muraltia thunbergii are densely scattered or fascicled on upper stems. The leaf-shape is narrowly lanceolate but varying in width. The leaves have spiny tips, their surfaces rough, conspicuously long-haired below and along the margins (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
