The flowers of Muraltia thunbergii grow solitary and stalkless from upper leaf axils. There are five similar sepals, three petals and seven stamens, the usual endowment of a Muraltia flower. The sepals have pointed tips. The conspicuous pair of lateral petals is white or pinkish purple, the third petal is keeled and less colourful.

The fruit is a membranous capsule covered in hairs and ending in a horn (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
