    Author: Ivan Lätti

The buds of this developing Colchicum striatum inflorescence are green bract supported, pointed and ridged, promising to open fairly soon. Perianth segments above the bracts will change colour to white with stripes as they enlarge. The bracts are longer than what the broader tepals will become (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998; Germishuizen and Fabian 1982; iNaturalist).
