The slender, annual, above-ground growth of Eulophia zeyheriana holds its own in Drakensberg grassland with no difficulty. It sees the sun when it’s about and is equipped to warrant high hopes for frequent pollinator visits.
Sandy marshland with stones about is good for the plant citizens here, living in peace with diverse neighbours, putting the quarrelsome human race to shame.
The tips of the narrow leaves are about as tall as the lower flowers (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
