This small Zaluzianskya microsiphon plant shows its basal leaf rosette, a small inflorescence in the centre and new stem-tip leaf growth. The rosette is slightly elevated from the ground, some stem lengthening visible among the larger leaves and the biggest ones above ground level. The lower stem part is darker, contrasting with the white hairs on it.
Only four flowers are presented this season, the energy channelled into gaining height from the new leaves. The club-shaped buds are darker than the outsides of the open flowers.
The outside surfaces of the upper foliage are paler, a softer green with midribs exhibiting an unusual colour, almost the floral one. The tip suggests the promise of further elongation (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
