Lotononis sericophylla shrub

The lower, woody branches of a mature Lotononis sericophylla bush are bare, fairly smooth and grey to brownish grey. The plant in picture has a wedge-shape down to its single stem branching low down.

The willowy upper branches are sparsely covered in dull green to grey-green leaves and seasonally scattered pale blue and creamy yellow flowers. The oblong pods have flattened, grey-haired sides with the short calyces persistent over the back ends and also often persistent styles at the legume tips. The seeds inside are attached on long funicles (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
