    Ornithogalum juncifolium green anthers
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The open Ornithogalum juncifolium flower in this photo shows green anthers, narrowly oblong and slightly curved on white filaments around the superior green ovoid to ellipsoid ovary. Contrasted against the green of the ovary, the filaments are seen to be broad-based, tapering upwards.

The photo allows some tepal tip shapes to be clearly shown, rounded at the top of elliptic to oblong limbs (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
