    In this Ornithogalum juncifolium inflorescence the visible anthers are creamy buff, the observer eyes tempted to see ripe pollen grains, which may be just beyond visibility reach. Try it!

    The lower flower in picture may be older, already closing, having done its stuff with pollinators and now turning inwards for the routine developments in its ovary.

    The younger buds above are not white yet, informing pollinators that patience is a virtue and visiting tomorrow or so might be a good idea.

    Pale papery bracts surround the pedicel bases of the green-stalked flowers (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
