    This open Ornithogalum juncifolium flower shows several anther colours. Some may be ready to donate pollen to visitors, others getting there or are done contributing. Spreading risk may enhance success! The six participants appear to be in sociable mood, possibly attractive to pollinators. Yakking yields another possible explanation for all not functioning at top speed.

    The triangular filament bases are clear to see below some anthers.

    In the background the outer tepals of the buds to open later are still undecided about the proper shades of green for the moment. They still dutifully cover the to be protected family riches inside until the happy day of opening (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
