Rhoicissus sekhukhuniensis is a scrambling shrub, sometimes a climbing plant. Although it is not a vigorous climber it may reach a height of 3 m.

The leaves are trifoliolate with an obovate terminal leaflet and smaller lateral ones with asymmetric shapes at the base. The leaves have faintly toothed margins. Young leaves are notably reddish with a covering of tiny hairs. A few tendrils can be noticed among the leaves (Wikipedia; www.plantzafrica.com).
