    Sandersonia aurantiaca leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The simple, stem-clasping leaves of Sandersonia aurantiaca grow alternate and close together. They are narrowly lanceolate, the smooth green surfaces three-veined with tips attenuating, sometimes into tendrils when in shade.

Leaf dimensions are 9 cm long and 2 cm wide (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org; https://pza.sanbi.org).
