    Adenium multiflorum colour variation

    Adenium multiflorum colour variation
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The vividly pinkish red or rosy crimson form of Adenium multiflorum flowers may lack the white patches in the petal lobe centres. The wavy petal margins may also be twisted in the centre (top) with something like a protruding mucro present. The petal margins in picture are not as crisped as sometimes seen. The corolla throat is dull yellow here.

The anthers form a cone, fused to the style and attached to long, thread-like and hairy appendages. The ovaries are hairless (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Onderstall, 1984; Codd, 1951; iNaturalist).
