A short bit of thick Brunsvigia bosmaniae peduncle is visible under the broad bract that persists after acting as bud cover early in floral proceedings. Most of the nearly white flowers are already fully open, apparently in quite fast succession, while the few slightly younger ones can be spotted by their darker, purple anthers. Where the anthers are paler from ripe, cream pollen the styles are further exserted, the flowers older.
There are dark, longitudinal lines low inside the perianth segments of the flowers allowing the intimate view (Duncan, et al, 2016; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
