    Delosperma leendertziae, a success story

When rocky grassland is their comfort zone, expect thriving plants to proliferate in places where unfortunate seeds of other species may meet pure hardship. Delosperma leendertziae has a well-established colony in this spot. Its proven flower production promises to sustain the foothold should conditions remain stable.

Success makes good neighbours of plants with alien appearances. They don’t have to look like family for maintaining their positions (Smith, et al, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
