The nearly spherical inflorescence of the round head or Periglossum angustifolium gives the plant its common name, and a busy head it is for pollinators to explore. People tend to use nearly round heads differently.

About three to eight stalked flowers form the umbel-shaped inflorescence on a variably long peduncle.

Flowering happens from before midspring until early autumn, peaking in the second half of summer (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
