The funnel-shaped flowers of Tritonia disticha are red, orange-red or pink, sometimes darkly veined. The flowers are two-lipped, i.e. zygomorphic or laterally symmetrical, the six elliptic tepals in two whorls of three, the inner ones slightly larger. The lower tepals or only the median one are marked at the base with a small yellow blotch outlined with red. Several longitudinal veins as well as secondary venation are visible on the tepals in picture, translucent against the light (Pooley, et al, 2025; Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
