    The simple, sessile and opposite leaves of Brachystelma franksiae subsp. franksiae are long and narrow to linear, the tips abruptly pointed. Straight or curving, often ascending, the blades are shiny and sometimes hairy, folded in or channelled on top. Leaf length is 5 cm to 7 cm (Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
