Two leaves of Gladiolus robertsoniae grow at ground level, the other one (or sometimes two), are shorter, emerging from the stem. All the leaves sheathe the stem, their margins not united around the stem at the base. The leaves are linear or sickle-shaped and soft-textured. The midribs are somewhat raised, the margins only a little or not at all.

Leaf dimensions are 8 cm to 16 cm long and 2 mm to 4 mm wide (Goldblatt and Manning, 1998; iNaturalist).
