    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Francelle van Zyl

The leaves of Indigofera denudata are one- to three-foliolate. There are petioles on the leaves, and petiolules that vary in length on the leaflets.

The leaflet shape is obovate to oblong, their margins entire. The tips are rounded to pointed, sometimes showing faint signs of protruding mucros. In picture the blue-green to grey-green, hairless blades are mostly flat, some curving in laterally. The midribs are whitish here, seen on upper surfaces, sometimes dark on the lower surfaces. Leaflet length varies around 1 cm (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org).
