All the petals of a Pelargonium pinnatum flower may be broad on some plants. The lower, unmarked three sometimes touch, so that it appears as if there are only four in a flower. The petal tips of this Pelargonium may be rounded, flat, notched or centrally pointed.
The straight pedicels are dark purple and finely white-haired in picture. The small sepals are darker purple than the pedicels, the bracts at the umbel bases lighter or greener.
The pinnate ground-level leaves may be dry at bloomtime (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
