The supposedly apple-green Watsonia borbonica subsp. borbonica leaf’s lazy pose reveals its prominent midrib in the sunlight. The not so lazy inflorescence zigzags between flowers as if responding to music. The corollas bend supply near their bases as if dancing is the thing of the moment.
The dry bracts around the flower bases are brown... with being dry. Envy does not come into plant life (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
